Today was the day — the twenty-four hour period the 2012 Garden was institute ! Now you have to understand , this garden plan was give birth in the fall even before the last flora was pull from the garden . As the 2011 garden progressed , we thought about what we would do the same , different and add or bump off for the next planting season . Well , today it all come together . Just like any programme , it came with a preconceived idea of what and where we should plant . And like any good programme , we tweak it as we went .
We got a head start on the architectural plan in the spring since the weather condition in Ohio cooperate nicely for us . We found our cool weather condition crops on the spur of the minute where part of the garden stood last yr . We wanted to maximize the utilisation of space so we doubled up the run-in whenever we could . We use a unique gardening system using a non - till philosophical system . We utilize compost , chaff and crap to acquire mounded bed that provide outstanding ease for planting along with maximizing our good soil assortment . We in reality planted the whole garden in less than 2 hr .

Because we institute staples that we did n’t get a chance to constitute last year , we had to rethink where we would put our prize tomatoes , peppers , cucumbers and courgette . We decided to increase the sizing of our garden , not only because we added more crops , but because we wanted to ensure the soil rest fecund by rotating the emplacement of our plants . With the peppers we can roasted crimson peppers , and of course , utilize them in various other dishes with the tomatoes . We also froze the black pepper for well-fixed use throughout the twelvemonth . This year we are look forward to the additions that we have made , especially hear out an exciting new variety – The Big Mama Roma . Of of course , we had to tell Big Mamma ( our largest Gallus gallus for those who have n’t meet her yet on our blog ) that the tomato was discover after her . So with the industrial plant in place , and the Marmota monax contract signed that enforces a ‘ no trespassing ’ article , we are quick for the ontogeny to begin !
