A rainy summer made for a great gardening year

We ’re in Beeton , Ontario , today , visiting Marina . We ’ve been to her beautiful garden before ( Marina ’s Garden in Beeton , Ontario ) when it was just a few year old , and we ’re back today to see how it has flourish and grown since then .

I just wanted to send you a few pictures of my garden taken this preceding summertime . you may see that the conditions was the most favorable for gardening , unlike our usualhot and dryOntario summers .

My backyard is getting there , with the rainy summer help a caboodle . As you see , my garden is passably wild . I like tocollect plantsand flora them densely . I also have an ambitiousness to complement the gorgeous self - seeded sea of wildgrassesbeyond the chain - connectedness fencing . I made two geometric beds and am in the cognitive operation of adding a few tightly clippedtopiariesin order to add together some structure to the “ wild . ”

Early summerin the garden . I have a go at it the repeat elements of pink , purple , and burgundy from prime and leaf . It really grant the garden a incorporate theme .

So many different plants are in here , all thriving and blooming , while the modified people of colour scheme keeps it all harmonious .

There are moreyellownotes in this part of the garden . front at that fabulousclematis(Clematishybrid , Zones 4–9 ) by the front door !

Yellow , gold , andorangeare repeated in foliage and flowers here for a sunny part of the garden .

I love the ardent pinkish colouring material of these foxgloves ( Digitalis×mertonensis , zone 4–8 ) .

Against the dark leaf of a smokebush ( Cotinuscoggygria , zone 5–8 ) , this lily ( Liliumhybrid , Zones 5–9 ) really stands out .

A rainy summer induce for a lush , green garden . Here it is about to burst into color as theHydrangeapaniculata(Zones 3–8 ) flowers get quick to open .

These daylilies ( Hemerocallishybrid , Zones 3–8 ) with long , narrow petal have such an elegant , processed flavor to them ! This peak shape on a daylily is sometime called a spider form .
