“ So I have a tug of a nectarine tree tree . Has yielded nothing in zone 9b . Thinking it could be chill hours , could be it ’s near the house and oak tree Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree so even if we ’ve incur the chill it ’s got a microclimate to avoid fruiting . Been there for four years . Should I transplant a plum to it ? Or move it ? ( bounderish gesture has not ameliorate it output )
Another question , I ’ve tried ail a few metre unsuccessfully . I have company garlic but ya know I ’d like garlic Allium sativum . Recommendations ?

lease ’s speak survival situation vegetable oil informant . While lard is an option … works base mind ? I ’ve grown sunflowers with the melodic theme but not pressed oil .
Yerba mate , wet feet for summertime ? Or no ? The creek running through the back 12 floods the cypress headspring there and snog the back “ pasture ” so I ’m think of what might like to live there . ”
On Non-fruiting Fruit in Warm Climates
The nectarine is likely miss in chill hours . There are two potential solutions to repair that :
result # 1 : test denude off all the parting by hand and see if that forces a salad days cycle . This works on apples and pears . I ’m not certain about Harlan Fisk Stone fruit , but it ’s worth a shot .
solvent # 2 : Graft that thing . Just take off the top of the Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree and transplant on scion woodwind from a tree diagram which is bearing in your area . you may graft on peaches or nectarines and they take quite easily . However , this is the wrong time of year . Do it next year when the tree is dormant . Late wintertime in your orbit .
The other possibility is that the tree is n’t getting enough sunlight . Nectarines require full sunshine – they detest being in any spook . That oak tree could be the problem .
Growing Garlic in Florida
I tried without much luck . UFisn’t much help either . Your best bet are garlic chives . Rachel also implant cloves in Florida , let them grow leaf , then sheer and used the leaves in her cooking .
Survival Oil Sources
This is something I ’ve canvass , especially for soapmaking .
Four days ago I postedan in - depth article on vegetable oil source here .
Yerba Mate and Wet Feet
Yerba teammate is grow extensively in theCorrientes Province of Argentina . It is quite humid and loaded there , though I doubt the trees are growing in standing water . I do n’t know for sure , but I ’ll bet the trees can take some moisture . Most trees do n’t wish stand water , though . If it were my land , I ’d implant the area with taro .
