Happy Easter !   The farm and garden have started to come to sprightliness as we go the mid - power point of April . We thought it would be a big sentence to get the camera out for some early Spring photos .

Early Spring Photos – The Malus pumila blossoms are out !

A portion has deepen since last Spring at the farm . For starters , we live here now ! It has been so incredibly wonderful to wake up up here each and every day and enjoy the change that give impart to the farm . The daylillies are charging through the crust of the soil in their bright mint green colour . Fields are filled with hundreds of dandelion heyday waiting for bee to rule their flamboyant flower .

decorative grasses are beginning to come to life as the reddish - green shoots turn through the wan - brown insipid top haircuts we give them a few weeks back . And of course , the gorgeous first blooms of the yield trees , grape vines and more are starting to seem .

Dandelions In The Field – The grass and line of business around are filled with the beautiful dandelion blossom – one of the best early intellectual nourishment sources for the honeybees !

With the sign of the zodiac in the background , the dirt pile is in berth for the next undertaking , the outdoor marquee . More on that in the coming weeks !

The seedling await ! Our decorative pepper and vegetable seedling are take care cracking indoors – waiting for their chance soon to go into the garden !

The Apple Blossoms . The yield trees are all start to show sign of life with their showy blossoms . Our yield trees should begin to raise well now that they are heading into their fourth year . We ca n’t expect !

The newly planted Hydrangea on the east side of the house is all lay out to bloom . We created a new flowerbed off of the east side of the porch to add a little colouring . The morning sun that blankets the orbit should be a unadulterated place for the Hydrangea to thrive .

Cover Crops In The Garden – The annual rye whiskey has green - up and keeping back any invading dope in our raised row garden words . We do not till this in anymore , opting or else to mow and grip it each week and put the oddment in the compost muckle . It dies back and we plant right through it with our tomatoes , capsicum and more .

Jazzy In The Garden . One other expectant use of goods and services for our screen crops – a great rest place for our 10 1/2 twelvemonth sometime lab Jazzy .

The Water Tanks . As we have from the commencement when we had no lean water at the farm , we water with captured rainfall . We hooked our tankful up last week , and after a fully grown bounce pelting , this one is already full with 275 gallons ! And yes , another place for Jazzy to rest !

The New Chicks meet The Old Hens . The unexampled dame have been put into the “ big miss coop ” , and the onetime hen ca n’t quite make out what has come about ! All in all , they are all doing very well in their first hebdomad together .
