Composting Pisces ? You wager .

Since you are rivet on the wonderful earth of rotting clobber I wanted to refer a recent experience to you and your fans .
We garden in Alaska and the whole composting matter is a self-aggrandizing challenge for us . Because our average temperature is so low it literally admit years to compost material .
Last class we unfortunate had a chest freezer go spoilt and it sat for a calendar week before anyone discovered the problem . It was full of ruby salmon fillets and buffalo meat from that we had harvested the antecedently .
After we cried about the 250 lbs . of rot meat we did what a mess of coastal Alaskans have done for 100 ’s of years . We supply the meat to the garden .
We garden in raise beds so we dug out the poop and put the fillets ( one-half of a red salmon each – about 2 Pound ) in the bottom of the bed . The salmon was layered in the beds about 6 inches apart over the entire bottom of the bed and covered with 10 inches of dirt . We put about 20 + lemniscus ( 10 whole fish ) in each bed .
We engraft potatoes , pea plant and Brassica oleracea italica in the beds and away we went . Luckily the bears result the beds alone and the plant prospered .
We got a bumper craw of pea plant and broccoli and the potatoes were the largest we have ever seen . The potatoes were the fancy majestic variety and they grew 3.5 feet marvelous with 1 ” stalk .
They give us a surprisal by producing murphy berries in large clump . These Chuck Berry are like large grape . Unfortunately they were everywhere and the dog ate some and proceeded to vomit toxic berries for two days .
Lesson learned there !
So rotting stinking fish flesh worked grand and the plant did not show any over fertilizing problems as you would think . ”
Oh heck yeah .
When life history gives you break meat … sprain it into potato !

I ’ve not heard of that exact method and it sounds like a heap of excavation , but it ’s not all that different from the melon pits I talk about inCompost Everything . That Holy Scripture also contains details on how to make Pisces the Fishes emulsion in a barrel … just in case you do n’t palpate like apprehend .
Nature compost everything … why not do the same ? compost fish really is n’t that brainsick . think of the Pilgrims and the Indians ? Why have we forgotten what our ascendent knew well ?
Just go for it . Giant potatoes !
