The student designed , construct and decorated entryway from California Polytechnic State University , San Luis Obispo and Pomona , highlight each element of the parade ’s theme – “ Dream , Believe , and Achieve ” through a narrative that was both relatable and fantastic . The floats theme , “ Stargazers , ” was inspired by well - hump nursery rime “ Hey Diddle Diddle ” where cattle dream big and achieve the impossible . The ice-cream float boast a beautiful meadow where the moo-cow achieved their impossible feat by designing , examination , and using jetpacks to jump over the moon .

An abundance of gladiolus thanks to a generous share from Glad - A - Way Gardens in Santa Maria , CA was a staring example of non - conventional utilisation of bloom . While gorgeous , coloured sprays of corpus sternum adorned the meadow of the plasterer’s float in a classic style , the single blooms were used as non - traditional decking cloth to fill in and traverse the “ pod ” of the plasterer’s float as well . The “ seedcase ” is the base or foundation of the float that covers the chassis mechanisms of the float to which overhead social system , character and other ornamental element are attached .
