There is something about nurseryman and their willingness to proclaim their love of plants , trees and more on a garden teeing ground shirt , sweatshirt , or chapeau .
Whether the field is flowers , weeds , a manicured lawn , or growing veg in their garden , you may usually encounter a gardener sporting a quote or two on their clothes at some point in the uprise time of year .
I suppose for most gardening lovers , it ’s in our DNA to be proud of what we love . I know that is certainly the pillowcase for Mary and I. Gardening is a elbow room of liveliness . It is a cacoethes . And not only do we love to talk about it , but we also love to show our passion for it anyway we can – even on our wearing apparel !
And that is exactly how we bump to falter upon one of the cool , softest and most amazing tee shirts around , and then make up one’s mind to make it our own !
A few years back we decided to prescribe a few shirts , hats and sweatshirts with our farm ’s logo .
Of course , being organic nurseryman , we also asked our vesture company(ANC Promotions)if there were any dress that promoted our love of the res publica and sustainability . And that is when they introduced us to a tee shirt made with 50 % reprocess charge card bottleful .
We both ca n’t suffer the feel of heavy , thick or bulky shirts , and wanted something soft and breathable for our tee shirts . Our folks at ANC assured us we would we would love these shirt , and we were delirious to give them a go.(See : Old World Garden Shirt Store )
A few days later , a few samples get for us to try out , and we were hooked ! That was three years ago . And to this sidereal day , you would be heavily iron to show up at the farm and not see both of us working in them .
They really are the softest , most well-off shirts we have ever wear . Even better , they have n’t shrunk or lost a short ton of color , and that is after airstream after wash . Best of all , we absolutely love that each shirt is create with the equivalent of 6 plastic feeding bottle . And the rest ? 100 percent constituent , U.S. grown cotton wool . !
When we first ordered our shirts , we merely did it for us to have and wear . In addition to working around the farm , we almost always wear our shirts , sweatshirts and lid in many of our videos and speaking betrothal .
At the clip , somewhat as a joke , we also order a few with”The Simple Life ” on the front . After all , we really do experience like a life of gardening is the ultimate Simple Life .
But to our surprise , folks start writing us and expect if they could buy them like a shot from us . And for some reasonableness , the Simple Life shirt was a favorite to require for . Without anything stately , we sold them here and there at shows and upon request .
It was then that we settle it would be a heavy thought to use a component of the proceeds to put towards some of our favored gardening causes .
And crazy as it sounds , last year , we actually sold enough to patronise two local Master Garden bookman fees . This yr , we hope to be able to help a few more small garden groups and club across the U.S. as well . After all , every little bit aid !
Over the last few months , we had a few requests to set up an on - line memory board . But for us , it really would have been too hard to manage . Especially while still doing what we love most – gardening and drop a line about gardening !
